Audio Video Interleave, known by its acronym AVI, is a multimedia container format introduced by Microsoft in November 1992 as part of its Video for Windows technology. AVI files can contain both audio and video data in a file container that allows synchronous audio-with-video playback. Steps:

- Add AVI files.
Click “Add Files” button on the toolbar. Select your .avi files and load them into the converter.
- Set ipod output format.
Click “Profile” drop-down list to select. You also can set the output format in Target Format column.
- Configure output parameters.
You can set the output effect by Profile Settings---Advanced Profile Settings, on the top right of the RipToo Video Converter window.
- Choose output folder.
Click "Browse..." button to create a new folder or choose a folder for saving your converted ipod video files.
- Convert.
Click the “convert” button 
on the toolbar to start the AVI to ipod conversion. You can check the converting process in “status” column.
